Traditionally the clinical pathway for long-term mechanically ventilated patients involves discharge from the acute hospital ventilation setting directly to the home environment or a long term care facility.
This transition from hospital to home may be a stressful and difficult process.
Dedicated care with an integrated clinical pathway
The integrated pathway for REMEO® patients brings together a vast array of clinical specialists and support staff to provide an extensive treatment plan. At specialist, dedicated REMEO® centres, 24-hour care and weaning support is provided in a comfortable, home-like, environment. The warm, inviting design and layout of REMEO® centres provide a welcome and uplifting change for many of the long-term mechanically ventilated patients after weeks or months in a noisy ICU environment.
Benefits to the patient
